Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy describes data used when you visit zomburst.com and play its browser games. Game progress stays on your device; delivering the website and measuring visits involve network requests to hosting providers and Google Analytics.

Game saves and settings on your device

Games use browser storage, including IndexedDB and local settings storage, where available. This can contain save slots, game progress, upgrades, preferences, and information needed to coordinate saves between tabs. Game logic and save validation run in the browser; Zomburst does not operate accounts, a cloud-save database, or a multiplayer service.

Save exports and imports use local JSON files. The website does not upload those files as part of normal play. You can remove local game data through game controls where available or through your browser's website-data settings. Removing it can permanently erase progress; export a backup first if you want to keep it.

Google Analytics

Zomburst uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, page navigation, and how the website is used. Google Analytics may use cookies and browser identifiers and process page URLs, referrers, browser and device information, interaction events, and approximate location derived from network information. Requests are sent to Google, which processes data according to its own service and privacy policies.

Our page-view setup omits URL query strings and fragments from the page location and referrer values that we explicitly send. Google Signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our configuration. This is not a claim that all analytics is anonymous or that third-party processing never occurs.

You can block analytics using browser privacy controls or an appropriate content blocker. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking Google Analytics does not prevent the games from running. Visit Google's Privacy Policy and its information about data from partner sites for details of Google's processing.

Hosting and security logs

Hosting and network providers receive information needed to deliver files and protect the service, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent, response status, and security signals. Hosting on Amazon Web Services and use of Cloudflare when enabled involve those providers in website delivery. During a hosting transition, Vercel may continue to deliver an existing deployment.

These delivery requests are separate from your browser-local game saves. Logs may be retained by the operator or provider for troubleshooting, availability, and security. We do not promise a fixed retention period that has not been configured and verified. Provider privacy policies describe their own processing and retention practices.

Messages you choose to send

If you contact us by email, your email address, message, attachments, and mail metadata are processed by the receiving mailbox provider and used to respond to or investigate the request. Our contact address is a shared project inbox, so include Zomburst in your subject. We do not need your passwords or authentication credentials.

Do not send sensitive personal information or a save file unless it is relevant and you are comfortable sharing it. Messages may be kept as needed to resolve an issue, maintain correspondence, or meet applicable obligations. Ask through the Contact page if you have a question about a message you sent.

Your choices and requests

You can clear website storage and cookies, restrict third-party requests, block analytics, and choose not to send email. Browser controls vary by product and may affect saved progress. Clearing local data does not automatically remove information already received by a hosting provider, Google, or an email provider.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information. Contact us with the nature of your request and enough information to locate the relevant correspondence. Do not send an identity document with an initial request. Data held by a third-party provider may also require a request to that provider.

Younger visitors, security, and updates

This website is intended for ages 13 and older. We do not ask players to create accounts or submit names, dates of birth, or contact details to play. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so the message can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.

No website, storage system, or email service can guarantee absolute security. Keep save backups and avoid putting sensitive information in messages or URLs. This policy will be updated when the site's data practices change; the date identifies the current text.
